12 Angry Men is an intense character study of jurors in a murder trial who must come to a unanimous decision of guilty or not guilty. One juror has reasonable doubt and must convince the others that in light of this reasonable doubt, the jury must return a verdict of not guilty. Frustration and tension mount when the first vote reveals a single dissenting juror. The drama unfolds as the arguments continue until the final verdict is reached.

Andrew Kasten is proud to be part of Poor Man Production's theatrical production of this time-honored classic. A lawyer by trade, it was 12 Angry Men and other films such as Class Action, True Colors and Rear Window (might as well throw in Matlock) that influenced his outlook on life and career. With his motto of: 'better later than never,' Kasten discovered theatre just 2 years ago. Bit by the acting bug, he found his home on stage and has pursued theatre with heart and passion since. He began with Plano Roverdramawerks' productions of Surviving Grace and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. He then had the pleasure to work with a talented director and cast in SecondThought Theatre's adaptation of The Country Wife at Addison's WaterTower Theatre. Heading back north, Andrew worked in two productions with the Richardson Theatre Centre. Until now, his most challenging and rewarding role was the lead in RTC's production of the psychological thriller: Gaslight. Other talents of Mr. Kasten include: the gift of gab, superior penmanship, a loud hand clap, and naturally making people laugh. His other passion is his dog, Dexter, so he is also a self-proclaimed dog whisperer. It is sheer delight to have the opportunity to work with a great cast and director to bring this brilliant and very important work to the stage for your enjoyment.
